Hive 3D approached OAP to design their first project because they needed a partner that could understand the whole process from design through construction.
The premise was simple: to design a unique, modern, and efficient country home. The challenge was to keep costs to a minimum while working with an emerging technology that is not widely used.
3D printing technology is changing the way we think about construction. It provides for more flexibility in how and where a home can be built, and results in a more cost effective and resilient structure.
We looked for opportunities to produce unique design details and worked with the machine to create moments that reflect the beauty of the process.
